Brent Brown Toyota Scion announced the winner of the $1,000 Wolverine iQ Scholarship Competition at a ceremony at the Brent Brown Toyota Scion dealership Thursday evening, April 12.

Kevin Bryan, 26, a graphic design major from Provo, designed the winning car wrap, which he named the "The iQ Taxi."

Why: Support the accomplishments of UVU students who used their talent and ambition for a chance at a $1,000 textbook scholarship.

Brent Brown Toyota and UVU Athletics launched this unique student competition at the last home Men's Basketball game on February 25. The goal was simple: design a UVU-themed car wrap for a 2012 Scion iQ. The winning design would be applied to the car, and made available to UVU's free use for a year after the competition. It would also be housed at Brent Brown Toyota and driven throughout valley.

With the help of students, faculty and Mighty Athletic Wolverine League, word of the competition spread. Dozens of students took their hand at designing the compact car. On April 1, four finalists (five designs total) were chosen and put up for a public vote on Brent Brown Toyota's Facebook page for one week. The winner will be announced at the ceremony on April 14.

Brent Brown Toyota Scion will apply the design with the most votes to a 2012 Scion iQ for UVU Athletics' use. They will also award the winning designer a $1,000 textbook scholarship. The University-themed Scion iQ will be unveiled on May 1 when UVU Men's Baseball faces BYU at the Brent Brown Ballpark.

Orem, Utah, April 2, 2012 - Voting opened today for the Wolverine iQ Scholarship Competition co-sponsored by Brent Brown Toyota Scion and Utah Valley University (UVU) Athletics. The public can vote on car wrap finalists once per day through Sunday, April 8 on the Brent Brown Toyota Facebook page: Facebook.com/BrentBrownToyota.
